This is a panoramic view of the area around Boulder, Colorado, taken from a few miles east of town at a scenic view stop.  The pictures that comprise this panoramic view were taken at approximately 7:30 AM on February 21, 2002.  In another month or so, the fields will start to green and the snow will begin to melt from the Rockies.  As one door opens, another closes.

The view runs from the Flatiron Mountains just southwest of Boulder to the open plains running north.  Highway 36 from Boulder to Denver is prominent in the left half of the image.

The picture is rather large, so please wait for it to download and scroll right in your browser to see the whole image.

I work in Boulder, not far from Baseline Lake in the right half of the picture.  This is the view I get when I drive to work.

And people wonder why I live in Colorado.  ;-)
