Original Poetry

Welcome to the Original Poetry section of the Lytspeed Communications website.  Please note that I retain all publication rights to this poetry.

You will find that the following pages do not follow the same style conventions as the rest of this website.  The unique display nature of the World Wide Web allows poetry to be enhanced with backgrounds, colors and formatting not easily available in other media.  For example, in the poem Two Shifts Passing in the Night, I was able to use color and font sizes to illustrate the Doppler Shift phenomenon in physics -- there is an illusion throughout the poem of motion toward and then motion away as the two people in the poem have a near-miss relationship.  Because of the style of the media, I was able to enhance the multiple meanings in the poem.

Be aware that some of these pages have white text, and therefore will not print correctly unless you have your browser set to print backgrounds.  Please contact me for permission if you wish to use or reproduce any of this poetry for any reason.
